Description

Founded in the 1990s and officially established in 2002, Buğday Association for Supporting Ecological Living is one of Turkey’s leading NGOs advocating for ecological and sustainable lifestyles. The organization supports organic agriculture, biodiversity, ecological literacy, and local food systems.

Through its nationwide networks—such as the TaTuTa (eco-agrotourism) farm stays and the Local Seeds Network—Buğday connects farmers, consumers, and activists working to create an ecologically balanced future. It also engages in policy dialogue, educational programs, and awareness campaigns on topics like seed rights, food sovereignty, and climate resilience.

The association acts as a bridge between tradition and innovation, aiming to foster a holistic, regenerative approach to agriculture and everyday life.
