Living Labs da Missão Solo do Horizonte Europa: implementação em Portugal
The European Missions are a new feature of the Horizon Europe research and innovation program, running from 2021 to 2027. The objective of the Soils Mission is to be a precursor, demonstrator and catalyst for the transition to healthy soils in 2030, through ambitious actions in 100 live labs. The funding that will be made available for the implementation of the Soil Mission will be a great opportunity for Portuguese entities committed to soil health.
The National Innovation Agency, the Central Regional Coordination and Development Commission and the General Directorate of Agriculture and Rural Development, under the framework of the NATI00NS project, organize the first national event on the implementation in Portugal of Missão Solo's Living Laboratories, under the Horizonte Europa program, which will take place on April 12, from 10:30 to 16:00, at the Escola Superior Agrária de Coimbra, with a remote access format for plenary sessions.
This event aims to raise awareness about the Solos Mission and the objectives relating to the establishment of Living Laboratories; clarify the concept and necessary criteria for financing under the Horizon Europe program, which Living Laboratories must comply with, both at regional level and as clusters at European level; and discuss different Living Laboratories that would be desirable and possible to install at national level.
The event is aimed at: researchers, farmers, foresters and representatives of professional associations, councillors, land managers and owners, specialists in urban space development and spatial planning, agri-food companies, consumer associations, local communities and public administration.
