PREPSOIL has just launched its discussion Forum on healthy soils, an opportunity for Communities of Practice, soil advocates, experts and enthusiasts alike to burrow in and share best practices, new solutions and all things related to soil health!  Of course, like any plant or crop our Forum needs pollination to grow!  That’s why we’ve been raking through the abundant range of community-led initiatives on soil health across Europe, to identify soil Communities of Practice (CoPs) - the buzz word collectively describing actors who get together to address, and act upon, a specific concern related to soils - to really get the discussion going.

The First CoP to join us and enjoy the spotlight on their initiative is the Huertos Urbanos Suerte de Saavedra, an Urban Vegetable Garden initiative in Spain, that has transformed some previously 4,800 m2 unused land made available by the City Council into a sustainable and ecological food-producing oasis for the entire community.  This collective and pioneering project involves the entire community from school children to senior citizens.
Do you have an initiative underway in your region that you want to showcase to the wider soil community? Then tell us just a little bit about it and submit the candidature as a PREPSOIL CoP here !

Or maybe you just want to start a discussion on about a topic on soil that's important to you? Then just post to our Forum and help grow the healthy soil movement here. Don't be shy - It’Soil you have to do!
